Sciatica
Sciatica is pain that radiates anywhere along the path of the sciatic nerve, which extends from the lower back through the buttocks and down the back of each leg. Sciatica is usually a secondary condition that is arising from some other issue irritating or compressing the sciatic nerve.
Sciatica most commonly affects only one side of the body. Some people also experience burning, numbness, tingling, or weakness in the leg or foot. In most people, sitting makes the pain worse.
It is important to seek immediate medical attention if you have progressive lower extremity weakness, numbness in the upper thighs, and/or loss of bladder or bowel control.
The Village Chiropractic Center has successfully treated hundreds of patients suffering from sciatica pain. Avoid surgery and drugs. Call today to see if we can help.
